melanie corey-ferrini
I have been an entrepreneur (both social and for-profit) for 20 years. I plan, design, and create nourishing experiences with a creative and sustainable leadership presence, capable of blending big-picture viewpoints with tactical considerations to inspire, build trust, and achieve record growth.
I have been integrating indoor agricultural systems (CEA) into project planning - when possible - to integrate sustainable practices, local systems, and provide positive change.
I have also founded and created STEM after-school classes and programs around hands-on activities for kids, as well as, a pay it forward company to provide awareness to little known local non-profits.
For fun, Melanie is a foodie, scuba diver and paraglider, as well as, artist and visual storyteller, and tinkerer of all things STEM.
I am interested in diving deeper into indoor urban agriculture (controlled ag. environments - CEA) with the idea of using my planning, design, innovation, logistics, and facilitation background to create a team of people to push forward the idea of CEA and real estate fracking (creating a business and marketing plan to use unused or underutilized real estate). Also, integrate learning and training as part of the initiative in order to empower people to grow their own food or become indoor ag. entrepreneurs.

A nomad at heart, I currently reside in Los Angeles. With a background in non-profit management, I have worked in various capacities with local non-profits and international NGOs in Botswana, Eswatini and Mozambique.
Nevertheless, I have had quite the thirst to become an entrepreneur - exploring possibilities that are more aligned with my values and dreams for a restorative and regenerative economy.
My goal is to start my venture somewhere on the African continent, closer to my birth country of Ethiopia.
