Michael Mezzatesta

Michael is a thinker & communicator working to bring ideas from alternative economics into the mainstream American political conversation by leveraging social media, community building, and marketing technologies. As an independent consultant, Michael helps socially conscious startups establish the strategies & processes they need to achieve sustainable organic growth. Prior to his recent move to Berlin, Michael spent 5 years in the LA tech startup scene after graduating from Stanford with a BA in Economics.

Jake Sablosky

Jake grew up in the Oregon forests and nature plays an import role in his life. His core purpose is “learning to teach and teaching to learn.” He holds an MBA from the University of Oregon. Currently he is president of NuNaturals, a 30-year-old natural foods company owned and operated by his family. He sees himself as a steward leader navigating the path to 30 more years of sustainable, ethical business. He is interested in B Corps, backpacking, and regenerative agriculture.

Ojan Mobedshahi

Finance Director of the East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, Ojan is a 2nd generation Iranian American, born and raised in the Bay Area. His past work, from healthy land use to real estate development, informs his mission driven integration of social justice and real estate finance. Ojan lives in a co-op in Oakland and is also a landscape contractor and regenerative permaculture designer. While earning his B.A. in Economics from Pitzer College, Ojan was inducted into the Economic Honors Society and organized a local chapter of the Occupy movement.
